Salmon burger with lamb's lettuce and Pea & Wasabi

When most people hear the word 'burger', they first think of meat, but did you know you can also make an incredibly delicious burger with fresh salmon? Salmon is full of healthy fats and fits perfectly into a balanced diet. Ensure that you use fresh salmon from the fish monger instead of from the supermarket. The difference in flavour is significant. Wasabi pairs wonderfully with salmon, so try our Pea & Wasabi  to add a delicious finishing touch to your burger. Serve with slices of cucumber and enjoy!

Hint: lay the cucumber slices in apple cider vinegar for half an hour. This gives them a mouth-watering acidity that will make your salmon burger even more delicious.



You will need

  • 2 burger buns

  • 200 g raw salmon fillet

  • 1/2 red onion

  • 20 g breadcrumbs

  • 1/2 cucumber

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 2 tablespoons Pea & Wasabi

  • 1 small handful lamb's lettuce


How it's made!

Chop up the salmon fillet finely using a good processor or large kitchen knife.

Dice the onion finely and mince the garlic using a garlic press. In a bowl, mix the salmon with the onion, garlic and breadcrumbs. Make two burger patties from this mixture.

Heat a glug of olive oil in a frying pan and lay the burgers in the pan. Cook them on both sides until done.In the meantime, cut the cucumber into slices (using a cheese shaver for example) and, if using half-baked burger buns, bake them as per the instructions.

Cut the burger buns in half and spread some Pea & Wasabi on the bottom half. Put the salmon burger on the bottom half and finish with a dot of lettuce and a few slices of cucumber.
